The Joy of Wishing

With the end of 2012 fast approaching, I’ve been thinking about how I want to celebrate the arrival of the new year. Instead of resolving to eat healthier and exercise more, I think I’ll make some wishes instead. So much more fun, and not as much pressure (for me at least, but the universe better deliver)!

Do you still make a wish when you blow out the candles on your birthday cake or scatter the seeds of a dandelion to the wind? What do you wish for? If you could grant someone else’s wish, whose would it be?

If you’re interested in the magic of wishes, I recommend this gem of a book by Noelle Oxenhandler.
